Chad Mathew is an international entertainment professional with over 12 years’ experience working in his homeland of Australia, as well as abroad in London, England where Chad resided between 2004 to 2008. From early 2014 to 2016, Chad resided in Vancouver, Canada, where he continued to evolve professionally, personally and artistically.
Chad’s resume has continued to grow over the past decade with an impressive range of roles in film, television, presenting, reporting and singing as well as producing and directing. Appearing in many local and international television roles and films like the independent Australian feature film The Navigator, Chad supplemented his repertoire with a number of roles on American television, including Behind Mansion Walls and Deadly Women. Chad has appeared in a number of nationwide and worldwide television commercials including a vast amount of internet commercials and roles.
Chad is a huge supporter of the LGBTQI Community working with local organizations and charities. Whilst in Canada, combining both Chad’s passion of entertainment and the LGBTQI Community, Chad was a Reporter, Guest Host and regular addition on the nationwide Outlook TV, Canada.
Chad is well regarded in the modelling and photography industry and has worked with numerous photographers on a vast amount of advertising and commercial campaigns for top international brands. Featuring in lifestyle, fashion and editorial campaigns and commercial advertising, Chad is no stranger to the catwalk and community fashion events such as Launch My Label and the industry’s Fashion Week shows.
Chad has always been a hard worker with a willingness to learn. Since 1994 Chad has placed great importance on furthering his self-development and skill base, undertaking numerous workshops and courses at world renowned and local acting and development institutions such as, The National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA), the Victoria College of the Arts (VCA) in Melbourne, the renowned Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, The Actors Centre, Sydney, The Australian Film and Television Academy (TAFTA) and at the Rogues West Acting School in Vancouver, Canada. In 2015 Chad went to Pilot Season in Los Angeles meeting many industry professionals and attending events.
Chad has been working with a number of coaches over the course of time in one-on-one training both locally and internationally to further his development as a great character actor and performer. Like any professional, Chad believes in continuing education and skill building. This has included working one-on-one with a dialect coach for his vast performing repertoire, abilities and skills.
Chad is a passionate song writer, dancer and recording artist. In Vancouver, Canada 2015 Chad started working with local music producers including the international recording artist and producer Murry Yates. Here Chad worked on many original and cover tracks including the John Farnham cover track You’re the Voice and his own original track Feeling Good. Both tracks have been a hit with his audiences and industry professionals. Chad has continued to grow in the music world, working with one-on-one vocal coaches and local producers while he continues to write, record and preform music.
Chad is very passionate about health and fitness and in 2011, Chad attended the Australian Institute Of Fitness (AIF) becoming a fully qualified personal trainer. Health and fitness is a large priority of his life. While off-camera or off-set, Chad works as a freelance Personal Trainer running boot camps and fundraisers for local community events and charities. Chad works very well with like-minded people who love to push themselves creatively and physically, many of whom are also involved in the local Community and entertainment industry.
